Experience from
inside the business.

Tom Wareham is an investment and wealth management professional with more than a decade of experience across investment management, research, risk management and governance, corporate strategy, team management and business development.

His investment experience includes multi-asset portfolio management and research, securities selection, and fund and manager research and oversight. It also encompasses investment proposition development and investment committee leadership.

That experience brings together the investment decisions themselves and the structures around them: research processes, oversight, team responsibilities and the way advisers explain the proposition to clients.

What this means for your firm

You can explore an investment proposition with someone who has been responsible for running one: how decisions are researched, how they are challenged and how the proposition works for advisers and clients.

For a smaller advice or wealth firm, that can mean a focused review of one decision, help translating an agreed direction into a workable process, or senior support alongside your existing team. The scope should reflect your business, your capacity and the decision at hand.

For founders considering succession or a sale, the same perspective helps examine how investment oversight, team responsibilities and client service can continue as the founder steps back.

Previous responsibilities inform the work; each Firm and Portfolio engagement has its own agreed scope and outputs.

How we think

Clear enough to use.
Practical enough to deliver.

Start with the business

Understand the commercial reality, the client proposition and your team’s capacity before deciding what needs to change.

Keep the thinking connected

Consider the investment proposition, operations and leadership together, so that recommendations work across the firm.

Stay accountable

Work directly with the practitioner responsible for the analysis, recommendations and agreed delivery support.
